One of the things I do for my job is write.  A lot.  I'm the author of one technical book, with another couple in progress.  I hope to do some writing for the ham radio community at some point.

While I had plans to write an up-to-date "Getting Started in Digital Modes" paper, it seems that several folks have made interesting YouTube videos that demonstrate how to get started making digimode QSOs better than I could with a couple of thousand words.  I was also going to write a bit about the SDR-1000, and may still, but FlexRadio has now released the Flex-5000 and stopped making the SDR-1000. I may still write about the FlexRadio SDRs (they're such a mixed-bag of good and bad, in my opinion, it'll be good for me to write it up just to vent).

Most recently, I wrote the page on this website to help folks get started using Motorola radios for scanning and hamming on VHF and UHF.
